The COOBF allows us to see ourselves as connected, to understand the words we are reading in relation to other's people's responses, thoughts and feelings. Through dialogue about the books, and through exploring our own feelings alongside others we strive to make connections at every turn. Some of the books connect us to our shared history, some of them connect us to traditions and lifeways, others draw us closer to ourselves.
This area of the web site is intended to reflect a map of activities and events. This is the place to connect your stories with others. Share your reflections, what you are learning by conducting COOBFs in your home, at your church, in your bookstore, in the classroom, etc. This is also a place to reflect on how you feel physically after doing this work. So, please share.
This is a place to also make suggestions. What questions are resonating with your COOBF group? What book suggestions do you have for next year? Are there questions you'd like to ask other conveners, facilitators and participants?
This space will be updated as often as you share.
